Toolshop Machinist
Position Title: Toolshop Machinist
Reports To: Tooling Manager
Location: Tanner, Alabama
POSITION SUMMARY:
The tool shop machinist will be responsible for producing tool paths from model to support with CNC equipment. Maintaining a current file system of toolpaths organized so the CNC technicians can load and run programs of the current version.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce tool paths from model for manufacturing and repairing tooling
- Manage the machining area cutting tool and consumable needs
- Schedule CNC work on the machines
- Maintain CNC programs up to date and at current revision
- When needed will operate CNC machinery to produce and repair tooling
- Aide as needed in drawing changes
REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
- 5 Year minimum CNC programming exp.
- Must to have 5+ years of experience in CAM software
- CAD software proficiency a plus
- Must have 5 axis experience also using post processors
- Hypermill experience a plus
- Must be resourceful, can provide clear and analytical thinking as well as an ability to problem solve and create effective strategies
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- SAP skills are a plus
