Bocar US has an exciting opportunity for a Machining Maintenance Engineer. The Machining Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for supporting predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance execution of the equipment in the machining and assembly areas. Works together with the technical personnel sharing expert knowledge and training them ensuring continuous improvement of the maintenance process for the equipment installed on the machining and assembly areas.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Participates and ensures the accomplishment of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks in the equipment of the machining area in order to increase its availability.
  •  Provides expert support in the machining area equipment troubleshooting (corrective maintenance), training & developing personnel at the same time. Generates procedures to solve serious or repetitive problems.
  •  Performs specialized maintenance tasks such as retrofits & installations of new / used equipment, training the maintenance supervisors and technicians in these activities.
  •  Makes sure that all maintenance tasks are done with quality, respecting safety, environmental standards and legal compliance aligned to HSE requirements.
  •  Gives follow up to the continuous improvement process in the CNC maintenance areas, attending all the detected opportunities (processes optimization, technology upgrade, etc.).
  •  Participates in the critical spare parts MRP data definition for all the equipment in the CNC area, in order to avoid stoppages due to lack of pieces.
  •  Keeps the CNC area equipment's technical data (manuals, software, etc) updated and available, avoiding the existence of miss information.
  •  Evaluates & contributes to improve the CNC & Assembly maintenance KPI´s such as repair time, preventive routines accomplishment, MTTR, MTBF and maintenance costs.
  •  Assesses the CNC area equipment condition detecting potential failures, obsolescence and safety issues in a timely manner avoiding future equipment stoppages.
  •  Uses and respects work instructions and standardized methods to realize special adjustments / tasks on the CNC equipment (e.g., CNC machine leveling, ball screw and guideline exchange, etc).
  •  Works aligned to the main BOCAR´s strategic initiatives (BOS, BQOS, 10 QB, Internal audit requirements) being an example for the rest of the department members.
  •  Participates in internal trainings of different CNC & Assembly equipment, growing in knowledge and skills and sharing them with the technical personnel.

 

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

  • Electromechanics / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
  • SAP, MS Project, MS Office
  • 10 years working with CNC equipment (machining centers, washers, automated assembly lines
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics & mechanic systems, and/or electronic & electric systems.
  • High sense of compromise, Self-directed, Problem solving, Leadership, Teamwork, Results oriented, Effective communication.
  • Knowledge of installed equipment is a plus (Chiron, Heller, Grob, SW, Washers, assembly lines).
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects in question of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Risk Management,
  • Service / Support Main set,
  • Problem solving tools,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.
