Trim Die Supervisor
Position Title: Trim Die Supervisor
Reports To: Tooling Manager
Location: Tanner, Alabama
POSITION SUMMARY:
Bocar US has a need for an experienced Trim Die Supervisor for an exciting opportunity with an international company expanding product manufacturing to the US. This Tool Shop Supervisor is responsible to oversee daily activities of the tool shop PM and machining area.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will distribute trim PM’s, preparation and repairs to the appropriate personnel according to priorities
- Will distribute mold PM’s, preparation and repairs to the appropriate personnel according to priorities
- Will supervise shop activities
- Will contribute to tool shop paperwork and records
- Will maintain a good tool shop working environment
- Will adhere to DOL for shop cleanliness
- Will distribute machining jobs to the machining personnel according to the shop priorities
- Perform risk assessments
- Educates, instructs, and supports the tool shop personnel
- Follow all Bocar US safety policies/procedures and report any unsafe conditions or hazards to proper personnel.
REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
- Must to have 5+ years of experience in aluminum die casting
- Must have 2+ years of trim die experience
- Must have a toolmaker/machinist background
- Must be available to work different shifts and overtime as required. A willingness to learn new concepts is essential, via coursework or visiting other locations.
- Must be resourceful, have the ability to provide clear and analytical thinking as well as an ability to problem solve and create effective strategies
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
